Meralco announces power outages in some areas

(Eagle News)–The Manila Electric Company announced power outages in several areas early Saturday, Sept. 15. In Quezon City – Mabuhay, Meralco said outage time was at 4:12 a.m. The company said the outage, which was caused by emergency line trouble, would last for two hours. Alarm Level 1 hoisted over Marikina River

(Eagle News)–Alarm Level 1 has been hoisted  over Marikina River. The Marikina City Rescue 161 said water levels have reached 15 meters as of 7:07 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15. This means residents near the river should prepare to evacuate. Rains continue to pound parts of the country as “Ompong” heads toward Apayao and Ilocos Norte.    

MMDA on blue alert due to Typhoon “Ompong”

DOJ: Murder of QC deputy prosecutor “solved”

(Eagle News)—The National Bureau of Investigation has “solved” the killing of Quezon City Deputy Prosecutor Rogelio Velasco, the Department of Justice said. Valenzuela court upholds dismissal of P6.4-billion shabu shipment case

LTFRB allows TNCs to impose P2 per minute of travel time charge on their passengers

(Eagle News) — The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board has allowed Transport Network Companies to impose a P2 per minute of travel time charge on their passengers as part of the TNCs’ fare structure.
