DOJ: Murder of QC deputy prosecutor “solved”

(Eagle News)—The National Bureau of Investigation has “solved” the killing of Quezon City Deputy Prosecutor Rogelio Velasco, the Department of Justice said.

Without elaborating, Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra said charges have been filed against three police officers before the Quezon City Office of the City Prosecutor.

On May 11,  Velasco was shot by at least two unidentified gunmen as he was traveling on board his car on Holy Spirit Drive in Quezon City.

Two of his children were with him when the incident took place.

He died as he was being rushed to the hospital.
