Albayalde: Over 300 policemen sacked for illegal drug use

(Eagle News)—-Over 300 policemen have been sacked after they tested positive for shabu, Philippine National Police Chief Oscar Albayalde said on Monday, Sept. 25. According to Albayalde, 349 police officers were dismissed from the service because of this from January 2016 to September 2018. “There will be no second chances” if a policeman tests positive for illegal substances, Albayalde, a known disciplinarian, said.

Manila suspends classes on Friday, Sept. 21

(Eagle News) — Classes on Friday, Sept. 21, have been suspended in Manila. The suspension was declared in anticipation of rallies to be held in time for the 46th anniversary of the declaration of martial law. The suspension applies to all levels in public and private schools.

Alarm level 2 raised over Marikina River
