The Philippine National Police will be on full alert status starting tomorrow morning due to typhoon “Mangkhut” which is expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Friday.
PNP Chief Oscar Albayalde said apart from the Luzon-based police, regional and provincial mobile forces will be on full alert status.
He said this was to ensure there would be policemen deployed as augmentation force in areas to be affected by the storm.
Albayalde also directed his men to ensure that their families were safe.
Albayalde also activated their first level battle staff that will meet today to lay down the plans on how to respond in emergency situations.
Albayalde also ordered the prepositioning of assets and equipment to be used in clearing operations, if needed.
