The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 6:56 a.m., had its epicenter 5 kilometers southwest of Laurel. It had a depth of focus of 1 kilometer. An instrumental intensity I was felt in Tagaytay. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
