Duque: Acute respiratory infection among top conditions observed in Taal evacuees

(Eagle News)–Acute respiratory infection was among the top five conditions being observed in Taal’s victims who are staying in evacuation centers.

This is according to Health Secretary Francisco Duque III, who gave an interview on Saturday, Jan. 18, over radio dzbb.

According to Duque, medicines and personnel, however, sufficed for all evacuation centers.

Earlier, Senator Imee Marcos  urged the Department of Health to conduct a health audit of people staying in evacuation centers due to Taal’s volcanic activity.

An alert level 4 remains hoisted over Taal, which means a “hazardous explosive eruption” was possible in hours or days.
