The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 4:50 a.m., had its epicenter 10 kilometers northeast of Kananga. It had a depth of focus of 14 kilometers. An instrumental intensity II was recorded in Ormoc. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

(Eagle News)–No Filipino was hurt in the 6.8-magnitude quake that hit Turkey recently. The Philippine Embassy said this was based on information from Turkish authorities.
