The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 7:32 a.m., had its epicenter 40 kilometers northeast of Burgos. It had a depth of 19 kilometers. Instrumental intensity I was recorded in Surigao City. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

(Eagle News)–A 3.9-magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao del Sur early Wednesday, Sept. 23. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 6:52 a.m., had its epicenter 117 kilometers northeast of Bayabas. PHIVOLCS said this was an aftershock of the 5.7-magnitude quake that struck Bayabas on Tuesday, Sept. 21. The quake had a depth of one kilometer. No damage to property nor aftershocks were expected.

(Eagle News) — A 3.7-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Oriental early Tuesday, Sept. 22. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 2:31 a.m., had its epicenter six kilometers southwest of Valencia. It had a depth of six kilometers. An instrumental intensity I was recorded in Sibulan. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
