3.4-magnitude quake hits Leyte

(Eagle News)–A 3.4-magnitude earthquake struck Leyte on Thursday, March 5. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 4:38 a.m., has its epicenter 2 kilometers northeast of Leyte. It had a depth of focus of 7 kilometers. An instrumental intensity II was felt in Naval, Biliran. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

3.3-magnitude quake hits Davao Occidental

(Eagle News) — A 3.3-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Occidental on Wednesday, March 4. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 5:19 p.m., had its epicenter 98 kilometers southeast of Sarangani. Depth of focus was 1 kilometer. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

Alert level 2 maintained over Taal

(Eagle News)–An alert level 2 remains hoisted over Taal. (Eagle News)–A 3.7-magnitude earthquake struck Davao del Sur today, March 3. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 5:26 a.m., had its epicenter 4 kilometers southwest of Kiblawan. It had a depth of focus of 10 kilometers. The following instrumental intensities were recorded: Instrumental Intensities: Intensity II – Kidapawan City; Malungon, Sarangani Intensity I – Tupi, South Cotabato No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 2:30 a.m., had its epicenter 371 kilometers southwest of Sarangani. It had a depth of focus of 44 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

(Eagle News)–A 4.9-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental on Saturday, Feb. 29. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 5:28 p.m., had its epicenter 393 kilometers southeast of Sarangani. It had a depth of focus of 162 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
