3.9-magnitude quake strikes off Davao Occidental

(Eagle News) — A 3.9-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental on Saturday, December 26. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 6:49 a.m. It had an epicenter 234 kilometers southeast of Sarangani. Depth of focus was four kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

Magnitude 4.9 quake shakes Quezon

  (Eagle News) — A magnitude 4.9 quake hit 20 kilometers northwest of General Nakar, Quezon province at 2:14 a.m. Tuesday, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology. 4.3-magnitude quake hits Eastern Samar

(Eagle News) – -A 4.3-magnitude earthquake struck off Eastern Samar early Sunday, December 20. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 4:40 a.m., had its epicenter 93 kilometers northeast of Homonhon Island. It had a depth of 24 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

(Eagle News) — Two 4.1-magnitude quakes hit the Davao region early Thursday, December 17. 2 volcanic quakes, steam and sulfur dioxide emissions monitored at Kanlaon; alert level 1 still in place

(Eagle News) — Two volcanic earthquakes were monitored at Kanlaon in 24 hours. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said also monitored at the volcano, which remains on alert level 1, were sulfur dioxide and steam emissions. PHIVOLCS said the emission of white steam-laden plumes was moderate. Sulfur dioxide  emission was at an average of 336 tons on November 24. (Eagle News) — A 3.8-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental early Tuesday, December 15. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake struck 210 kilometers southeast of Sarangani. It had a depth of 160 kilometers. It was also tectonic in origin. No damage to property nor aftershocks were expected.

4.1-magnitude quake hits Sultan Kudarat early Saturday, Dec. 12

(Eagle News) — A 4.1-magnitude earthquake struck off Sultan Kudarat early Saturday, Dec. 12. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 3:06 a.m., had its epicenter 42 kilometers northwest of Lebak. It had a depth of 10 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

4.4-magnitude quake strikes off Sarangani early Friday, Dec. 11

(Eagle News) — A 4.4-magnitude earthquake struck off Sarangani early Friday, December 11. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 2:40 a.m., had its epicenter 63 kilometers southwest of Kiamba. It had a depth of 486 kilometers and was tectonic in origin. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 12:49 a.m., had its epicenter six kilometers northwest of the province. Depth of focus was 11 kilometers. The earthquake was also tectonic in origin. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

3.7-magnitude quake hits E. Samar early Thursday

(Eagle News) — A 3.7-magnitude earthquake struck off Eastern Samar early Thursday, Nov. 26. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 1:28 a.m., had its epicenter 83 kilometers southeast of Guiuan. It had a depth of 49 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.
