4.3-magnitude quake strikes off Surigao del Norte

(Eagle News) — A 4.3-magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao del Norte on Wednesday, Aug. 4. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake struck at 6:17 a.m. It had its epicenter 71 kilometers northeast of Burgos. The quake had a depth of focus of 20 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

4.9-magnitude strikes off Davao Occidental early Saturday, July 31

(Eagle News) — A 4.9-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental early Saturday, July 31. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake struck at 1:52 a.m. It had its epicenter 304 kilometers southeast of Sarangani. The depth of focus was 191 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were expected.

Mayon volcano status downgraded to “normal”

3.7-magnitude earthquake strikes Occidental Mindoro

(Eagle News) — A 3.7-magnitude earthquake struck Occidental Mindoro on Wednesday, July 28. According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, the quake struck at 7:12 a.m. It had its epicenter 18 kilometers northeast of Paluan. The depth of focus was one kilometer. The following instrumental intensities were reported: Intensity I- Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro; Calatagan, Batangas and Tagaytay City, Cavite No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

4.2-magnitude quake strikes off Ilocos Sur

(Eagle News)–A 4.2-magnitude earthquake struck off Ilocos Sur on Sunday, July 25. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 3:44 p.m. It had its epicenter 58 kilometers northwest of Candon. The depth of focus was 17 kilometers. (Eagle News) — A 4.7-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental early Wednesday, July 21. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 4:26 a.m. It had its epicenter 93 kilometers southeast of Jose Abad Santos. The depth of focus was nine kilometers.
