MANILA, Philippines — Tropical Storm “Mario” has slightly weakened while traversing the Babuyan Channel, PAGASA said. MANILA, Philippines — PAGASA, the country’s weather bureau, placed more areas under the “red” rainfall warning signal as of 12 noon Friday.  In its latest advisory, Metro Manila and five more nearby provinces namely Bulacan, Laguna, Rizal, Cavite and Batangas. MANILA, Philippines (ENS) — Tropical Storm “MARIO” has maintained its strength and has made landfall over the northern tip of Cagayan. “Red” rainfall warning raised over Metro Manila, Rizal and Bulacan

7:52 a.m. MANILA, Philippines (ENS) — Tropical Storm “Mario” continued to dump heavy rains in the whole of Luzon, prompting the country’s weather bureau to declare a “red warning” over Metro Manila, Rizal and Bulacan, and an “orange warning” for Laguna. “Mario” becomes stronger

“Mario” gains strength and speed. According to PAGASA, “Mario” was last spotted 670 km east of Catarman, northern Samar. The storm has 55kph winds and is mowing northwest at the speed of 28kph. Eastern Visayas, Caraga and some parts of Mindanao will experience rain. If the storm does not change direction, there’s a possibility that “Mario” will not be making a landfall and instead will head to southern Japan.
