(Eagle News)–A thunderstorm advisory has been hoisted over Metro Manila and nearby areas. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said in its advisory issued at 6:10 a.m. that apart from Metro Manila, moderate to heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds are being experienced in Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, and Quezon. Angat dam dips below critical level anew

  (Eagle News) – After days of hot weather with almost no rains, Angat dam’s water level went below the 160 meter critical level as of Thursday morning, July 11. Southwest monsoon still affecting extreme northern Luzon

(Eagle News) – The Southwest monsoon is still affecting extreme Northern Luzon, PAGASA said. Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers caused by localized thunderstorms, forecasters said. Possible flashfloods and landslides could occur during severe thunderstorms. PAGASA said there is no low pressure area within the country, and there is no LPA seen outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR)

Southwest monsoon affecting extreme Northern Luzon, says PAGASA

  (Eagle News) – The Southwest Monsoon is affecting extreme Northern Luzon which could bring rains in the area, according to the country’s weather bureau, PAGASA, Monday, July 8. Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers mostly in the afternoon or evening because of localized thunderstorms, forecasters said. PAGASA warned there could be flashfloods and some landslides during the thunderstorms.
