(Eagle News)–A thunderstorm advisory has been hoisted over Metro Manila and nearby areas.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said in its advisory issued at 6:10 a.m. that apart from Metro Manila, moderate to heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds are being experienced in Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, and Quezon.
The weather bureau said these may persist within 2 hours.
PAGASA advised residents to take precautionary measures against flash floods and landslides, among others.
“Thunderstorm in other areas are now terminated,” PAGASA said.
