(Eagle News) — COVID-19 cases in the Philippines rose to 2,851,931 after the Department of Health reported 4,600 additional cases on Sunday, Jan. 2. DOH: Husband of fourth Omicron variant case positive for COVID-19

(Eagle News) — The husband of the Philippines’ reported fourth Omicron variant case has tested positive for COVID-19. Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said he will therefore undergo genome sequencing to determine the COVID-19 variant he has been infected with. “He’s currently in the isolation facility,” Vergeire said in a television interview. PHL logs 243 more COVID-19 deaths; total cases at 2,834,294

(Eagle News) — COVID-19 cases in the Philippines rose to 2,834,294 on Saturday, Dec. 4, with the addition of 517 cases. According to the Department of Health, of these, 14338 were active. Of the active cases, 911 were asymptomatic, 6350 were mild, 3837 were moderate, 2425 were severe, and 815 were critical. Recoveries climbed to 2,770,726 with the addition of 1139 recoveries.
