Free MRT-3 rides for minors on Wednesday, Nov. 6

(Eagle News) — Minors can avail of free Metro Rail Transit-3 rides on Wednesday, Nov. 6. The MRT-3 said children 18 years old and below may avail of the free rides from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on that day. The management said they only need to present their school identification cards. The MRT-3 said this is in celebration of the 27th National Children’s Month.

(Eagle News)–Operations of the Metro Rail Transit-3 have resumed after they were temporarily suspended following the 5.5-magnitude earthquake off Quezon on Friday, Sept. 13. An advisory from MRT-3 said the suspension starting 6:42 a.m. was due to a cable of the Overhead Catenary System (OCS) being cut at the northbound Guadalupe Station, which caused insufficient power supply from Shaw Boulevard to Santolan. MRT-3 operations briefly interrupted after train suffers electrical failure

(Eagle News) — Metro Rail Transit-3 operations were briefly interrupted on Tuesday, March 5, after one of the trains suffered an electrical failure. Merrowen Mendoza, MRT-3 communications officer, said authorities were forced to remove a train from the main line following the electrical failure at the interstation of Quezon Avenue and North Ave. at 7:47 a.m. No passengers had to be offloaded. Operations resumed three minutes later, Mendoza said.
