4.2-magnitude earthquake strikes off Davao Occidental early Friday, Jan. 20

(Eagle News) — A 4.2-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental early Friday, Jan. 20. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake was an aftershock of the 7.0-magnitude quake reported in the province on Jan. 18. PHIVOLCS said the 4.2-magnitude quake hit at 5 a.m. The epicenter was 288 kilometers southeast of Balut Island. The depth of focus was 19 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.  

5.0-magnitude quake strikes off Davao Occidental early Saturday, March 13

(Eagle News) — A 5.0-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental early Saturday, March 13. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 4:13 a.m. It had its epicenter 230 kilometers southeast of Sarangani. The depth of focus was 87 kilometers, PHIVOLCS said. The following instrumental intensities were reported: Instrumental Intensities: Intensity II – Malungon, Sarangani Intensity I – Alabel, Sarangani No damage to property was reported but aftershocks were.

3.4-magnitude quake hits Davao Occidental

(Eagle News) — A 3.4-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental Saturday, Nov. 28. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 7:31 a.m., had its epicenter 108 kilometers southeast of Jose Abad Santos. It had a depth of 47 kilometers and was tectonic in origin. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

4.3-magnitude quake strikes off Davao Occidental

(Eagle News)–A 4.3-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental early Thursday, Sept. 10. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 2:46 a.m., had its epicenter 269 kilometers southeast of Sarangani. It had a depth of seven kilometers, and was tectonic in origin. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

4.1-magnitude quake strikes off Davao Occidental

(Eagle News)–A 4.1-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental on Tuesday, Aug. 25. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 4:43 a.m, had its epicenter 442 kilometers southeast of Sarangani. It depth was 85 kilometers, and it was of tectonic origin. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

3.6-magnitude quake strikes off Davao Occidental

(Eagle News)–A 3.6-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental on Wednesday, Oct. 2. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 265 kilometers southwest of Sarangani at 7:26 a.m. Depth of focus was 10 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

3.1-magnitude quake strikes off Davao Occidental

(Eagle News)–A 3.1-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental on Tuesday, Oct. 1. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 149 kilometers southeast of Sarangani at 4:48 p.m. Depth of focus was 26 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 240 kilometers southeast of Sarangani at 11:53 p.m. Depth of focus was 015 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

(Eagle News)–A 4.0-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Occidental on Monday, June 10. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 103 kilometers southeast of Sarangani at 6:08 a.m. Depth of focus was 37 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
