The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 10:51 a.m. It said its epicenter was 365 kilometers southeast of Balut Island. The depth of focus was 50 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were expected.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 6:49 a.m. Its epicenter was 74 kilometers southeast of Tarragona. The depth of focus was 83 kilometers.
