Eight babies and toddlers catch coronavirus at Tokyo centre

TOKYO, Japan (AFP) — Eight babies and toddlers at a Tokyo care centre have tested positive for the coronavirus after a staff member contracted the disease, its operator said on Wednesday. PHL COVID-19 efforts get further boost with additional P269 million from US

(Eagle News)–The United States has approved an additional P269 million in aid to the Philippines in its fight against COVID-19. In a statement, the US Embassy said with the addition, the total US assistance to the country now amounts to more than P470 million. Las Piñas COVID-19 cases climb to119

(Eagle News)–The number of coronavirus disease-2019 cases in Las Piñas has reached 119. According to the local government, Talon Dos recorded the most cases, with 18. It was followed by Pamplona Dos with 13 cases and Barangay International Village-CAA with 11. Of the 119, 14 have recovered while nine have died. The Philippines has so far confirmed over 6700 cases, with recoveries widening their lead over deaths.  

COVID-19 recoveries in PHL rise to 693 as infections climb to 6710

(Eagle News)–The number of COVID-19 recoveries in the country rose to 693 on Wednesday, April 22, with the Department of Health reporting an increase to 6,710 in  COVID-19 infections. The DOH said the figures were after 39 new recoveries and 111 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed. Of the  6710 COVID-19 cases overall, 446 have died, including the nine recent deaths, the DOH said. DOH: COVID-19 cases in QC rise to 1067

The local government said of the 1067  based on Department of Health data, 728 were validated by the Quezon City Epidemiology and Disease Surveillance Unit and district health centers. PGH looking to hire more medical workers
