(Eagle News) — The Quezon City government has opened another COVID-19 testing center as it continues its community-based testing in a bid to isolate and treat COVID-19 patients.

The local government said the center at SB Park Novaliches  is specifically for residents of District 5.

Those from the district who wish to be checked for the virus may coordinate with their barangay health center.

The city government in a previous statement said those who would like to be tested will undergo an initial interview and assessment.

Early this week, the local government said testing centers would also be set up in  Districts 1, 2 and 3.

The first community-based testing center inaugurated last week at the Quezon City Experience (QCX) in Quezon Memorial Circle (QMC) caters to District 4 residents.

District 6’s  testing center is located at the University of the Philippines’ Asian Institute of Tourism along Commonwealth Avenue.

So far, the local government said it has conducted 1133 swab tests since the start of its community-based testing on April 13.

Over 100, or 167, of these were done on April 21.
