According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, also monitored were 196 tons per day of sulfur dioxide flux as of August 30. A cloud covering the volcano was also detected. According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, the quake hit at 4:39 a.m. The epicenter was 17 kilometers southwest of Kalamansig. The depth of focus was 13 kilometers.
