The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 11:56 p.m., had its epicenter 7 kilometers northeast of Agoncillo. Depth of focus was 8 kilometers. The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority suspended the scheme after the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology upgraded the alert status of the volcano. The volcano is currently on alert level 4, which means a hazardous eruption is imminent. PHIVOLCS has recommended an evacuation from the volcano island and additional areas within a 14-kilometer radius of the volcano.
