3.9-magnitude quake hits Davao Oriental early Saturday

(Eagle News)–A 3.9-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Oriental early Saturday, Sept. 19. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 3:36 a.m., had its epicenter 40 kilometers southeast of Governor Generoso. It had a depth of 124 kilometers, and was tectonic in origin. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

PNP, PCCI launch foundation to help children of policemen killed, incapacitated in the line of duty to finish their studies

COVID-19 cases in PHL reach 279,526 with 3,257 additional cases

(Eagle News)–COVID-19 cases in the country are nearing the 280,000 mark after the Department of Health reported an additional 3257 cases on Friday, Sept. 18. The DOH said of the 279,526 total cases, 65906 were active. Of these, 87.5 percent were mild, 8.8 percent asymptomatic, 1.1. percent severe, and 2.6 percent critical.
