3.9-magnitude quake hits Davao Oriental early Saturday

(Eagle News)–A 3.9-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Oriental early Saturday, Sept. 19.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 3:36 a.m., had its epicenter 40 kilometers southeast of Governor Generoso.

It had a depth of 124 kilometers, and was tectonic in origin.

No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.
