4.5-magnitude earthquake jolts Surigao del Norte

(Eagle News)–A 4.5-magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao del Norte on Friday, Sept. 25. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 5:52 p.m., had its epicenter 71 kilometers northeast of Burgos. It had a depth of 16 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

DOH reports 2,630 more COVID-19 cases; total at 299,361

(Eagle News) — COVID-19 cases in the country neared the 300,000 mark on Friday, Sept. 25, with the confirmation of 2630 additional cases.
