DFA reports eight more COVID-19 cases among overseas Filipinos

(Eagle News) — The Department of Foreign Affairs has reported eight more COVID-19 cases among overseas Filipinos. The department said with the additional cases, the COVID-19 total among Filipinos abroad rose to 12308. No additional recovery nor fatality was reported. That means the total number of recoveries and fatalities among Filipinos abroad remains at 7997 and 860, respectively. DFA: Over 300,000 Filipinos repatriated since February

(Eagle News) — The Department of Foreign Affairs has repatriated over 300,000 overseas Filipinos since February, the start of its repatriation efforts amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The DFA said the 300,838 total Filipinos abroad repatriated was after 13,537 were brought home this week. The department said this was the  highest weekly total since February. COVID-19 cases in PHL reach 449,400; 9,269 more recover

(Eagle News) — COVID-19 cases breached the 449,000 mark on Sunday, Dec. 13, after the Department of Health reported 1085 additional cases. The DOH said of the 449,400 total cases, 21980 or 4.9 percent were active. Of these, 84.4 percent were mild, 5.8 percent asymptomatic, 6.3 percent critical, 3.2 percent severe, and 0.33 percent moderate. Malaysia coast guard makes record $26mn meth seizure

(Eagle News) — Fifty-nine more police personnel have recovered from COVID-19. The Philippine National Police said with the additional recoveries, the PNP recovery total rose to 8112.
