(Eagle News) — A Pasig court has found the brother of the late Abu Sayyaf leader Khadaffy Janjalani and another guilty of abducting students and teachers in Basilan in 2000. Pasig Regional Trial Branch 261 Judge Florian Gregory Abalajon sentenced Hector Janjalani to reclusion perpetua for 18 counts of kidnapping and serious illegal detention, while Daud Baru was convicted of all 52 counts.
