4.5-magnitude quake hits Cotabato

(Eagle News)–A 4.5-magnitude earthquake struck Cotabato early Friday, Oct. 18. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, an aftershock of the 6.3-magnitude one that hit the province on Oct. 16, struck 15 kilometers southeast of Tulunan at 1:50 a.m. Depth of focus was one kilometer. Duterte to gov’t agencies: Provide assistance to Mindanao quake victims, rehabilitate affected areas

(Eagle News)–President Rodrigo Duterte has ordered government agencies to extend assistance to Mindanao, which was hit by a 6.3-magnitude earthquake. (Eagle News)–A 5.5-magnitude earthquake struck Sultan Kudarat on Wednesday, Oct. 16. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, an aftershock of the 6.3-magnitude earthquake in N. Cotabato, hit 16 kilometers southeast of Columbio at 8:09 p.m. Depth of focus was 5 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
