Thunderstorm advisory hoisted over parts of Mindanao anew

(Eagle News)–A thunderstorm advisory has been hoisted over parts of Mindanao anew.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said moderate to heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds due to thunderstorms are expected over Misamis Occidental, Maguindanao, Surigao del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur and Tawi Tawi within one to two hours.

These conditions are being experienced in Misamis Oriental in Cagayan de Oro City, Opol, El Salvador, Laguindingan, Alubijid, Manticao, Lugait, Tagoloan, Villanueva, Jasaan, Balingasag, Claveria, Gingoog; in Bukidnon, particularly in Talakag, Baungon, Libona, Impasug-ong, Manolo Fortich, Malaybalay, Valencia, San Fernando; in Iligan City; in Lanao del Norte; in Lanao del Sur; in Zamboanga del Norte in Baliguian, Gutalac, Salug, Tampilisan, Labason; in  Davao de Oro in Maragusan and Mabini; in North Cotabato in Carmen, Kabacan, M’lang, Tulunan; in Sultan Kudarat in Lebak, Palimbang, Bagumbayan; South Cotabato in Lake Sebu, Sto. Nino Norala, Surallah; in  Agusan del Sur in Bayugan, Sibagat, Prosperidad; in Agusan del Norte in Cabadbaran, Butuan, R.Romualdez, Magallanes, Tubay ; and in Surigao del Sur particularly in Tandag, and Lanuza.

“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impact associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides,” PAGASA said.
