(Eagle News)—A thunderstorm warning has been raised in some areas as “Ompong” headed toward Apayao and Ilocos Norte on Saturday morning. (Eagle News)—Typhoon “Ompong” is now in the vicinity of Baggao, Cagayan and is heading toward Apayao and Ilocos Norte, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.   (Eagle News) — Typhoon Ompong made landfall at 1:40 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15, in Baggao, Cagayan, according to the country’s weather bureau, PAGASA. Orange rainfall warning hoisted over Batangas

(Eagle News) — An orange rainfall warning has been hoisted over Batangas. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said in an advisory that this means floods are a threat in low-lying areas.
