(Eagle News)—-President Rodrigo Duterte will visit areas devastated by Typhoon “Ompong” on Sunday, Sept. 16.Special Assistant to the President Bong Go said the President would particularly conduct an aerial inspection of Laoag, Ilocos Norte, and Tuguegarao, Cagayan around noon. “Ompong” made landfall over northern Luzon early Saturday. In its official Twitter page, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said “Ompong” left PAR as of 9 p.m. It said the typhoon was last spotted 355 kilometers west of Calayan, Cagayan and is now headed toward southern China.
