Isolated rainshowers to prevail in parts of PHL today

(Eagle News)–Cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers are expected over parts of the country today, May 19. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said  Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms are possible. Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.

At least 30 hurt in LRT-2 train collision; probe ongoing

DFA welcomes release of three Filipino engineers taken hostage in Libya

3.2-magnitude quake hits Aurora

(Eagle News)–A 3.2-magnitude earthquake struck Aurora on Saturday, May 18. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit 8 kilometers southwest of Dilasag at 3:13 a.m. The quake, of tectonic origin, had a depth of focus of 16 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
