(Eagle News) — Classes and government work in Pasay are suspended on Dec. 2. In a statement, the Pasay government said the class suspension applies to all levels in public and private schools. Those in the government’s health services and response units for disasters, however, are not covered by the suspension. The Pasay government said the class and work suspensions were to pave the way for celebrations for the city’s 156th foundation day.

A memorandum from the Office of the Chancellor said the suspension from December 2 to 7 was “in view of the activities directly connected with the Philippines’ hosting of the 30th Southeast Asian Games.” “Access to the campus will likewise be restricted,” the memo dated Nov. 12 said.
