The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 12:27 p.m., had its epicenter 53 kilometers southeast of Guiuan. It had a depth of focus of 43 kilometers. The following instrumental intensity was recorded: Intensity I – Palo, Leyte and Surigao City, Surigao del Norte No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 3:22 a.m., had its epicenter 17 kilometers northeast of Glan. It had a depth of focus of 51 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

(Eagle News)–A 3.9-magnitude earthquake struck off Cagayan today, April 1.
