4.4-magnitude earthquake strikes off Davao Occidental

(Eagle News)–A 4.4-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental on Friday, April 19. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 6:17 a.m. The epicenter was 394 kilometers southeast of Balut Island. The depth of focus was 13 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

4.3-magnitude earthquake strikes off Eastern Samar

(Eagle News)–A 4.3-magnitude earthquake struck off Eastern Samar early Sunday, April 14. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 3:52 a.m. The epicenter was 89 kilometers southeast of San Policarpo. The depth of focus was 15 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks.

4.0-magnitude earthquake strikes off Dinagat Islands early Monday

(Eagle News)–A 4.0-magnitude earthquake struck off Dinagat Islands early Monday, April 8. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 5:11 a.m. The epicenter was 23 kilometers northeast of Basilisa. The depth of focus was 18 kilometers. The following instrumental intensity was reported: Instrumental Intensity: Intensity II – City of Surigao, Surigao Del Norte No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

4.8-magnitude earthquake strikes off Surigao del Sur early Friday

(Eagle News)–A 4.8-magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao del Sur early Friday, March 1. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 1:24 a.m. Its epicenter was 90 kilometers southeast of Marihatag. The depth of focus was five kilometers. The following intensities were reported: Intensity II – Marihatag, Surigao del Sur Intensity I – City of Tandag, Surigao del Sur No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.  

4.2-magnitude earthquake strikes off Surigao del Sur

(Eagle News)–A 4.2-magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao del Sur on Wednesday, Feb. 14. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake that hit at 3:59 p.m. was an aftershock of the 7.4-magnitude quake that struck the province early December last year. The epicenter of today’s quake was 38 kilometers southeast of Hinatuan. The depth of focus was 28 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were expected.

5.9-magnitude quake hits Agusan del Sur

(Eagle News)–A 5.9-magnitude earthquake struck Agusan del Sur on Saturday, Feb. 10. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit 303 kilometers southeast of Balut Island at 5:50 a.m. The depth of focus was 54 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

4.2-magnitude earthquake strikes off Surigao del Sur

(Eagle News)–A 4.2-magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao del Sur on Wednesday, Feb. 7. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit 75 kilometers northeast of Lingig at 8:09 a.m. The depth of focus was one kilometer. The following intensity was reported: Intensity I – City of Bislig, Surigao del Sur No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

(Eagle News)–A 4.1-magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao del Sur early Saturday, Jan. 27. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, an aftershock of the 7.4-magnitude earthquake that shook the province on December 2, 2023, hit at 5:58 a.m. The epicenter was 128 kilometers northeast of Hinatuan. The depth of focus was 29 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.
