93 new airconditioning units installed in MRT-3 trains

(Eagle News)–The Department of Transportation has announced the installation of 93 new airconditioning units in Metro Rail Transit-3 trains. The DOTr said the units were apart from the 33 installed in August and the 60 installed in 2018. The agency said Sumitomo MHI-TESP  purchased over 120 airconditioning units worth P167 million under the comprehensive rehabilitation of the MRT-3. (Eagle News)–Operations of the Metro Rail Transit-3 have resumed after they were temporarily suspended following the 5.5-magnitude earthquake off Quezon on Friday, Sept. 13. MRT-3 operations briefly interrupted after train suffers electrical failure

(Eagle News) — Metro Rail Transit-3 operations were briefly interrupted on Tuesday, March 5, after one of the trains suffered an electrical failure. Merrowen Mendoza, MRT-3 communications officer, said authorities were forced to remove a train from the main line following the electrical failure at the interstation of Quezon Avenue and North Ave. at 7:47 a.m. No passengers had to be offloaded. Operations resumed three minutes later, Mendoza said.

MRT-3 management allows bottled water, drinks, liquids of less than 100 ml inside trains
