Typhoon “Paeng,” northeast monsoon, might affect Luzon areas

MANILA, Philippines —  Typhoon “Paeng”, the latest weather disturbance to enter the country, was spotted 1,220 kilometers east of Baler, Aurora as of 4:00 am today.  It is expected to move west northwest at 13 kph. At least 4 dead, half a million affected by storm “Mario”

NCR, Bulacan, Laguna, Rizal, Cavite, Batangas under red rainfall warning

MANILA, Philippines — PAGASA, the country’s weather bureau, placed more areas under the “red” rainfall warning signal as of 12 noon Friday.  In its latest advisory, Metro Manila and five more nearby provinces namely Bulacan, Laguna, Rizal, Cavite and Batangas. The northeast monsoon affects Luzon and Visayas while trough of low pressure area affects eastern Mindanao. The whole country will experience fair weather with partly cloudy and cloudy skies with some areas experiencing isolated rain and thunderstorms.
