The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said the quake hit 34 kilometers northeast of Pagudpud at 8:24 a.m. The depth of focus of the earthquake, which was of tectonic origin, was 18 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were expected.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake struck 16 kilometers southeast of Adams at 4:54 a.m. The quake, which was tectonic in origin, had a depth of focus of 18 kilometers. An intensity III was felt in Pasuquin, PHIVOLCS said. No damage nor aftershocks were expected.
