(Eagle News)–Tropical Depression “Ester” has accelerated while moving westward over the Philippine Sea east of extreme Northern Luzon. According to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration, “Ester” was so far estimated 550 kilometers east of Itbayat, Batanes. According to the PAGASA, “Ester” is now moving northeast of the country and may leave the Philippine area of responsibility tomorrow but the storm is maintaining its strength and is pulling the southwest monsoon on its wake, bringing rains to the northern and central parts of the country, including Metro Manila.
