4.4-magnitude quake hits Sarangani early Friday

(Eagle News) — A 4.4-magnitude earthquake struck off Sarangani early Friday, Feb. 26. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 1:45 a.m. It had its epicenter 27 kilometers southeast of Glan. It had a depth of 18 kilometers. The following instrumental intensity was reported: Instrumental Intensity: Intensity I – General Santos City; Alabel and Kiamba, Sarangani No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

Quake rocks Reykjavik, raises Iceland’s volcano activity

5.2-magnitude quake strikes off Davao Occidental

(Eagle News) — A 5.2-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental on Wednesday, Feb. 24. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 6:25 a.m., had its epicenter 318 kilometers southeast of Sarangani. It had a depth of 79 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

4.8-magnitude quake strikes off Davao Occidental

(Eagle News) — A 4.8-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental on Sunday, Feb. 14. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 8:37 a.m., had its epicenter 229 kilometers southeast of Sarangani. It had a depth of 59 kilometers No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.  

7.7-magnitude earthquake generates small South Pacific tsunami
