4.7-magnitude quake strikes off Davao Oriental waters

(Eagle News) — A 4.7-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Oriental waters on Wednesday, May 6. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 10:53 a.m., had its epicenter 136 kilometers southeast of Manay. It had a depth of 51 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

3.2-magnitude earthquake hits Davao Oriental

(Eagle News)–A 3.2-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Oriental early Saturday, Oct. 5. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit  35 kilometers southeast of Tarragona at 2:53 a.m. Depth of focus was 149 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

3.5-magnitude quake strikes off Davao Oriental

(Eagle News)–A 3.5-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Oriental early Sunday, Sept. 15. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit off 25 kilometers northeast of Governor Generoso at 3:05 a.m. Depth of focus was 24 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.  

3.0-magnitude quake hits Davao Oriental

(Eagle News)–A 3.0-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Oriental on Thursday, Aug. 22. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 28 kilometers southeast of Tarragona at 6:30 a.m. Depth of focus of the quake was 5 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

3.0-magnitude quake jolts Davao Oriental

(Eagle News)–A 3.0-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Oriental on Monday, Aug. 12. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 157 kilometers southeast of Governor Generoso at 9:27 a.m. The depth of focus of the quake was 52 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

3.4-magnitude quake hits Davao Oriental

(Eagle News)–A 3.4-magnitude earthquake hit Davao Oriental early Friday, Aug. 9. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 6 kilometers northeast of Mati at 3:43 a.m. Depth of focus was 1 kilometer. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

JUST IN: 6.2-magnitude quake hits Davao Oriental

(Eagle News)–A 6.2-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Oriental on Friday, May 31. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit 92 kilometers southeast of Governor Generoso at 6:12 p.m. Depth of focus of the quake was 72 kilometers. An intensity V was reported in Mati, while an intensity II was reported in Bislig. The following instrumental intensities were recorded: Intensity IV- Alabel and Kiamba, Sarangani Intensity III-Kidapawan Intensity I-Cagayan de Oro, Bislig  

3.0-magnitude earthquake hits Davao Oriental

(Eagle News)–A 3.0-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Oriental on Friday, May 24. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit 2 kilometers northwest of Mati at 5:46 a.m. The depth of focus of the quake was 25 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded from the earthquake, which was of tectonic origin.

4.2-magnitude earthquake strikes Davao Oriental

(Eagle News)—A 4.2-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Oriental on Sunday, March 24. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit 65 kilometers southeast of Caraga at 1:07 p.m. The depth of focus was 14 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were expected.

2.5-magnitude quake jolts Davao Oriental

(Eagle News)–A 2.5-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Oriental on Sunday, March 24. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake struck 11 kilometers southwest of Governor Generoso at 6:36 a.m. The quake had a depth of focus of 58 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were expected.

2.7-magnitude quake hits Davao Oriental

(Eagle News)—-A 2.7-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Oriental on Friday, March 22. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake struck 95 kilometers southeast of Governor Generoso at 1:34 p.m. The depth of focus of the quake, which was of tectonic in origin, was 63 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were affected.
