Duterte appoints former military chief Madrigal to PCA board

(Eagle News) — President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed former Armed Forces of the Philippines chief Benjamin Madrigal Jr. as a member of the Philippine Coconut Authority governing board. Madrigal’s appointment paper was signed on Jan. 21. Madrigal’s appointment came less than four months after he retired from the service. He retired in September 2019 after reaching the mandatory age of retirement of 56.

CA confirms appointment of Clement, promotion of Cusi

(Eagle News)–The Commission on Appointments has approved the ad interim appointment of General Noel Clement as Armed Forces of the Philippines Chief of Staff. Clement will serve as head of the AFP until January 2020. Before he became chief of staff, Clement was head of the military’s Central Visayas Command. The CA also approved the promotion of Navy Vice Admiral Allan Ferdinand Cusi, who is currently the superintendent of the Philippine Military Academy. Meanne Corvera
