  TIMIKA, Indonesia (AFP) — A strong 6.2-magnitude earthquake jolted a coastal region of Papua in eastern Indonesia Saturday morning and was followed by two weaker aftershocks minutes later, the US Geological Survey said. 4.7-magnitude earthquake strikes Surigao del Norte

(Eagle News) — A 4.7-magnitude earthquake struck Surigao del Norte on Saturday, Sept. 10. According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, the quake hit at 7:12 a.m. The epicenter was 12 kilometers northwest of Burgos. The depth of focus was 28 kilometers. The following instrumental intensities were reported: Intensity II – Surigao City, Surigao Del Norte No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.
