Marinduque, Oriental Mindoro, Romblon under red rainfall warning

(Eagle News)–A red rainfall warning has been hoisted over Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said severe flooding is expected in flood-prone areas and near river channels. Landslides are also possible in landslide-prone areas. PAGASA said, on the other hand, a yellow warning level was  hoisted over Camarines Sur, Burias Islands. Flooding is expected in low-lying areas near river channels and landslides in mountainous areas.

Heavy rainfall warning hoisted over M. Manila, other areas

(Eagle News)–A heavy rainfall warning has been hoisted over Metro Manila and other areas. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said apart from Metro Manila, a yellow warning, which means flooding is possible in flood-prone areas, is hoisted over Rizal and Cavite as well. An orange rainfall warning is hoisted over Batangas and Laguna, where flooding is threatening. Quezon is under a red warning, which means serious flooding  is expected in flood-prone areas. […]

MMDA: Number-coding scheme suspended effective noon today

(Eagle News)–The number-coding scheme is suspended effective noon today, December 3. The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority made the announcement in a social media post. The suspension came as rains due to Typhoon “Tisoy” battered Metro Manila, which had been placed under Signal No. 2. The Palace earlier suspended work in government offices and classes in Metro Manila effective noon as well.

(Eagle News)–“Tisoy” has made landfall in Marinduque and is now heading towards the Batangas-northern Oriental Mindoro area.
