DFA: No Filipino hurt in Vienna attack

(Eagle News)–No Filipino was hurt in a recent attack in Vienna, Austria that left at least one killed. DFA Executive Director for Strategic Communications Ivy Banzon-Abalos said this was based on a report from the Philippine Embassy in the Austrian capital last night. The shooting took place in six different locations and involved multiple gunmen. The attack prompted authorities to close down the capital for manhunt operations. At least 15 were also injured.

16 more police personnel recover from COVID-19

(Eagle News)–Sixteen more police personnel have recovered from COVID-19. The Philippine National Police said with the additional recoveries, the recovery total rose to 6745. Twenty-three more COVID-19 cases, however, pushed the total to 7278. Of these, 510 were active. The death toll remains at 23 with no additional death reported. (Eagle News)–The Department of Foreign Affairs has confirmed an additional COVID-19 case among overseas Filipinos. With the additional case from the Asia Pacific region, the DFA said the total number of cases rose to 11245.
