16 more police personnel recover from COVID-19

(Eagle News)–Sixteen more police personnel have recovered from COVID-19.

The Philippine National Police said with the additional recoveries, the recovery total rose to 6745.

Twenty-three more COVID-19 cases, however, pushed the total to 7278.

Of these, 510 were active.

The death toll remains at 23 with no additional death reported.

The police remain among the country’s frontliners amid the COVID-19 pandemic as they continue to man checkpoints and enforce laws.

The PNP has vowed to ensure the protection of police personnel with the signing of an agreement with the Makati Medical Center for medical services.
