Strong quake strikes Davao Occidental waters

(Eagle News) — A strong earthquake struck off Davao Occidental on Sunday, Dec. 5. According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, the 6.1-magnitude  quake struck at 7:48 a.m. PHIVOLCS earlier said the earthquake was at a 6.5 magnitude. According to PHIVOLCS, the epicenter was 291 kilometers southeast of Sarangani. The depth of focus was 166 kilometers. No damage to property was expected but aftershocks were.

PNP COVID-19 cases rise to 42,210

(Eagle News) — COVID-19 cases among police personnel rose to 42,210 after the Philippine National Police reported two more additional cases. According to the PNP, of the cases, 35 were active.
