MANILA, Philippines (Eagle News) — Hindi bababa sa P3.3 bilyon na halaga ng sigarilyo ng Mighty Corporation na may mga pekeng stamp ang sinunog sa Bulacan. Ang mga nasabing sigarilyo ay sinunog sa Holcim Cement Processing Plant sa Norzagaray, at sinaksihan ni Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez III. Binigyang diin ng Finance Secretary, na ang Holcim ang napiling partner ng gobyerno sa pagsira ng mga pekeng sigarilyo, dahil ang nasabing kumpanya ang pioneer sa “geocycle” technology.

(Eagle News) — An alert level 2 was hoisted over Kanlaon Volcano on Saturday. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology did this after a phreatic eruption took place past 9 a.m. Phivolcs director Renato Solidum said in a radio interview that while the eruption was not as strong, the public should avoid going near the summit. He said a 4-kilometer permanent danger zone from the summit should apply under an alert level 2.
