Nine students in Mabalacat City, Pampanga contract dengue after getting Dengvaxia shots

QUEZON CITY, Philippines (Eagle News) — Nine students of Lakandula Elementary School in Mabalacat, Pampanga fell ill with dengue after being vaccinated with Dengvaxia.

Mabalacat City Mayor Chris Garbo said that he immediately sent health officers to the affected elementary school.
The students who were found to have symptoms of dengue were Enzo De Leon (the first student who got sick) followed by Cirila Tagle, John Levi Leono, Hazel Yumul, Myla Libre, Danica Macasing, Kristine Regala and Kian Soto — all Grade 6 Students of the Lakandula Elementary School.
