(Eagle News)–A 5.2-magnitude earthquake hit Eastern Samar on Sunday, April 7. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake struck 43 kilometers northeast of Maydolong at 5:58 a.m. The depth of focus of the earthquake, which was of tectonic origin, was 10 kilometers. 2.0-magnitude quake hits N. Samar

(Eagle News)—A 2.0-magnitude earthquake struck Northern Samar on Sunday, April 7. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit 12 kilometers northwest of Maydolong at 7:33 a.m. The depth of focus of the quake, which is of tectonic origin, was 19 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were expected.  

2.7-magnitude quake hits Quezon

(Eagle News)–A 2.7-magnitude earthquake struck Quezon on Saturday, April 6. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit 62 kilometers northeast of Patnanungan at 9:01 a.m. The depth of focus of the quake was 11 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were expected.

Controversial dredging vessel leaves Lobo, Batangas

(Eagle News) — The vessel that had attempted to conduct dredging activities in Batangas’ Lobo River has left the area. Seagate Engineering and Buildsystems’ MV Emerald left on Friday morning, after the Philippine Ports Authority canceled its anchorage permit.
